Choice Chick

As I pointed out in an earlier post, Planned Parenthood is selling "I had an abortion" T-Shirts. The newest from them is their new superhero, Choice Chick, fighting the forces of evil (Bush, Ashcroft, et al) and their Judgebots. Found via The Canadian Conservative.

O.K., I understand why an organization such as Planned Parenthood would support contraception and abortion, based on the "planned" part of their name. But I think there is a line somewhere inherent in the "parenthood" portion of their name. It seems that they are actually marketing the concept of abortion as a badge of honour. This is just me talking, but I think they have gone a little too far on this one.

I find it amusing that Senators Kerry and Edwards are superheroes fighting for choice beside Choice Chick. Senator Kerry and his wife, Theresa, have both claimed that life starts at conception. Kerry waffles on this by saying abortion should be accesaable, safe and rare. However he hid this opinion during his convention address and his rare stance does not seem to fit with this Planned Parenthood marketing campaign. I think he is trying to have it both way on this issue and Choice Chick is calling his bluff.
