Be careful what you wish for

So, are the Americans loving their new McCain-Feingold Campaign Reform Laws yet? In an effort to make campaigning more accountable the Americans have opened themselves up to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and the MoveOn.org’s of the world. In the words of
Warren Kinsella in describing the Canadian Campaign Reform Laws, this is as “dumb as a bag of hammers”.

At least independents are allowed to have a voice in the US, unlike our insane moratorium in Canada.
