Since I am always looking for something to post about I will take up the Meatriarchy challenge (aside, does anyone have a better tagline than "If God didn't want me to eat animals, why did he make them out of meat?"; I think not) to build up Grapes.
This whole list by the CBC is a farce and high school history teachers and those who write the curriculums should be ashamed of themselves (Not you Mr. Thompson, you rocked!). So in that spirit, why not have Don Cherry voted as the Greatest Canadian. Show me someone more patriotic. Who doesn't love a Canadian willing to lose his job to speak his mind. In some respects he is like a comedian, the only group of citizens actually able to tell the truth, and with Don, there is no "just kidding" at the end of it. No one agrees with 100% of what he says, but how many times has he given voice to what you thinking and were afraid to say. So Donald S, you get my vote.
In fact you get my three votes. You see, the qualifications for Internet citizenship is an active email address and I have three. Vote early and vote often.
P.S. The Monger's analysis on Don Cherry standing alone is not quite valid, Cherry and Gretzky could split the hockey vote
