Fair is fair

At times I have been very critical of the Liberal Governments response to the genocidal situation in Darfur, Sudan. In the spirit of fairness I have to give the Prime Minister credit on this:

A spokeswoman said Martin intends to deliver a stern message to President Omar el-Bashir in the capital Khartoum.
"He'll urge the government to honour their commitments and act decisively to end the suffering," said Amy Butcher.
"It's an opportunity to urge the (Sudanese) leaders to honour their word. G-8 leaders have a responsibility to engage and face-to-face meetings can be an effective tool to get leadership to act."

I could easily snipe about this but I won't. Instead, thank you Mr. Prime Minister for trying to do something about this. I wish you the best of luck and my prayers are with you. You have the full support of this Canadian do what is necessary to help to resolve this siutation. Godspeed.
