My Mom called me last night raving about a movie she saw last night called What the bleep do we know?. Looks like the movie is about how the Theory of Quantum Mechanics proves that your perception of reality actually is reality. i.e. you control reality. As I have mentioned many times before I have a Physics degree and clearly the Theory of Quantum Mechanics doesn't say quite this. It does say, on the quantum level, you cannot separate the observer from the observed (Heisenberg Principle - you cannot simultaneously know the position and momentum of a quantum particle) and some theorize that from every decision scenario all possibilities are carried out in alternate dimensions. It's pretty whacked out stuff.
A couple of books that go into the supposed connections between spirituality and quantum mechanics are the Tao of Physics and the Dancing Wu Li Masters.
Looks like the movie ends its' run locally tonight and I won't be able to see until video. Has anyone seen it? Is it reasonable or does it have as much reality of the DaVinci Code?
