Indeed

Adam Daifallah comments on something that I have observed over the last couple of years, conservatives are more interested in human rights than liberals (notwithstanding gay marriage, which is by no means a "universal human right").

...At one time, the Left claimed they were the ones who cared about human rights around the world. They were the ones protesting the brutal treatment of minorities by dictators, the afflicted, the dispossessed. They don't seem to care as much now. In fact, they've completely abdicated the moral high ground on the issue.

...It's almost humorous to read. Liberals so often chide the Right for its supposed disregard for human rights. The most oft-cited case is Reagan's support for the contras in Nicaragua. But now the Left has no foot to stand on. They don't care. They won't take a values-based position on anything to do with foreign policy.

(Alert: Rampant over-simplification and over-generalization occurs.....now...)
While Mr. Daifallah paints with a wide brush it does seem that the right supports the actions (read military intervention) necessary to stop human rights disasters. Too many countries (with left leaning governments of course) have let their militaries fade and their will to intercede lapse. Furthermore, leftist ideologies led to mass murders in Ukraine and Cambodia and leftist governments stood by and watch genocide in Rwanda, including the UN. This leaves the US holding the bag and while they managed to step in and end a civil war in Sudan, the genocide in Darfur continues...No one is blameless on this one.
