Vaudeville Scorn

I referenced Rex Murphy's commentary on the Chretien testimony the other day. It is now posted on the CBC website.

...It might be well to recall, outside of trading golf souvenirs why this inquiry was called in the first place. Because, according to the Auditor General, a full $100 million of a $250 million fund was unaccounted for, improperly accounted for, done for work that could not be traced, farmed out to intermediaries who collected commissions, and all in all presented a spectacle that she as Auditor General found unparalleled, inexplicable, shocking, and in violation of almost every rule she knew. Remember this?
"I mean, this is so outrageous what happened here. I don't think anybody can take this lightly," Sheila Fraser said.
