In the crosshairs

Brent Colbert was not a generous with MP Kenney as I was earlier today.

Unfortunately this, once again, REALLY DUMB comment makes the Tory Caucus look like rubes. This is the kind of language that the media and the Liberals will throw back at us every chance they get.Even if what he said is technically correct it sounds insensitive and should not be our defence against SSM.

The more I think about it the more I realize how dumb the comment was. I discussed earlier my concern for free and open debate, but did MP Kenney's comment really add anything? While I am on my tell it like it is and intellectual honesty kick I should mention tonights edition of Politics on CBC Newsworld.

A couple of weeks ago I took great joy in watching Liberal Communications representative Scott Reid twist under the pressure of the "money laundering" testimony at the Gomery Inquiry. Fair is fair...and it was Conservative Strategist Tim Powers doing the twisting tonight trying to "defend" MP Kenney's comments. He did as well as he could under the circumstances, but man, I would not want to be in his shoes todays.

Well tomorrow is another day and hopefully there will be something else to talk about because being a "partisan hack" is much easier ;)
