You can teach an old (well...not young) dog...

First off, I am not exactly old (I am 32) but as far as computer programming goes I might as well be a fossil. This blogging thing as certainly taken me out of my comfort zone. Now I can use software and thankfully Blogger is about as easy as Word but I know I as missing out on some cool stuff.

I have a Rogers account and they have just introduced RSS feeds on to their members pages. I ignored this for a week but I was bored last night so I poked around to see what it was all about. Now when I log into my account I see the latest from Daimnation, LetItBleed, SmallDeadAnimals, Andrew Coyne, Mark Steyn, David Frum (I am going to be lazy, all of their links can be found on the right) and a plethora of others without having to go anywhere else. That is truly cool and I am still trying to figure out all of the implications of this.

As NealeNews linked to, people are more frequently looking to the Internet as a source of their news. If I knew how to program better (and when Newspapers provide RSS feeds) I could set-up a webpage that automatically presented the top stories from various media sources with relevant blog responses immediately beneath them. How cool would that be!
