Sure life would be more fun if it were like that but I think it just shows how fluid things are. Here are the latest numbers from POLLARA.
Conservative: 36%
Liberal: 31%
NDP: 17%
Bloc Quebecois: 15%
So I stand by my earlier statement. Strategically, the NDP-Liberal deal has been a disaster for the NDP.
What is more interesting is that the Conservatives are getting thumped in the GTA (surprise, surprise) but are in the lead in the ROO.
Update: According to a Tory insider, CPC Leader Harper agrees with my take on the NDP.
...He also took a few shots at NDP Leader Jack Layton, arguing that Mr. Layton has "done long-term damage to his party," said the insider. ". . . the Liberals want to run from the left, now Layton is supporting Martin . . . they [the NDP] could have potentially replaced them as the left of centre party. How are they going to campaign against one another?"
