Bruce Garvey of the National Post is the latest to take up the "Don't wait for Gomery" mantle.
...The sheer outrage generated by his [Gomery] inquiry has thwarted one of the greatest deceptions ever inflicted on Canadian voters. That deceit revolves around a six-word slogan that has been hammered into the public consiousness day after day: "Let Judge Gomery do his work."
...it's nonsense - nothin more than a cynical attempt to delay their time of reckoning until December, when Judge Gomery delivers his report...He has no power to even initiate action against the guilty, no power to name names - in fact, he is expressly forbidden from sitting in judgment oon the Alzheimer memories and outright lying he's heard from his witness list.
..."Gomery can watch the surveillance camera." added Ablonczy. "He can confirm the bank was robbed, but he cannot disclose who grabbed the cash and drove the getaway car." But is anyone paying attention? When I spoke to Ablonczy about her comments, she told me I was the only reporter who'd called her about the subject.
But as you know, the blogosphere has been all over this one.
