Paul Tuns has spread the book virus to me. Hmmm....this is where I get to prove that I pale in comparison with my fellow bloggers in terms of reading. Or maybe it impresses you that I come by my wit naturally?
Number of books I own
Note, right of the bat. I am trying to save money by cutting back on buying books. I use the library mainly to get books and I also listen to books on tape because I am in the car a lot.
~100: mainly Science Fiction and Fantasy novels and Business books
Last book I bought: A Brief History of Everything: Ken Wilber
Last book I read: Road to Serfdom, F.A. Hayek
Last book I listened to: Fast Food Nation, Eric Schlosser
I love Paul Tuns quoting "What kind of wimp reads only one book at a time?". When I am in book reading mode I usually have 3 or 4 going at a time.
Five books the mean a lot to me:
Five? Man, that is going to be tough. In order as they pop in my head (ok, I cheated and looked at my bookshelf)
1) Ender's Game, Orson Scott Card
2) The Case for Christianity, C.S. Lewis (the S in C.S. stands for Staples, by the way)
3) Lucifer's Hammer, Larry Niven or Blood Music, Greg Bear (I want to fit in 6, so tied)
4) Red Dragon, Thomas Harris
5) Good to Great, Jim Collins
Honourable mention, At Winter's
End, Robert Silverberg. Not because it is good or anything. Inside joke for A.E.
Aren't you impressed at well read I am? Now that I have lost all my street cred let me see if I can alienate more readers of this blog. Here are five to pass along.
