There is just too much going on up on "The Hill"! How does one keep up...and keep there actually paid gig?
I checked out OL Harper's (OL: Opposition Leader, I am switching, I don't think MP is respectful enough) presser on CTV. In it he claims that MP Grewal spoke to him partially through his escapade. If this is true then we can believe that MP Grewal was indeed trying to prove Liberal corruption instead of trying to cut a deal for himself. I say "if" because OL Harper has to say this. I am not questioning his veracity but it has to be put out there. That being said I think OL Harper did a job of staying focused on the issue at hand and "gently" reminding the press gallery that they demanded proof from MP Inky Mark. The proof that MP Grewal has now delivered.
Speaking of veracity, you can watch Question Period with the same link. I was in the car this afternoon and Charles Adler introduced the term mendacity. Apt term for the PM flip-flop over the last couple of days.
The latest Liberal spin is that the MP Grewal claimed that there were four hours of tape and that the Conservatives have released less than two. Do you think MP Grewal was turning that sucker on and off? Don't you think that might be a tad obvious? I am guessing there is quite a bit of dead air on those tapes. It is for the Ethics Commissioner and possibly the RCMP to decide now.
