I love how as soon as the Opposition has the PM in their cross-hairs the PM cries about restoring civility. In Question Period he actually does a Freudian slip and says stability. That what the vote buying was all about, buying Liberal stability. Of which I could care less.
MP Monte Solberg speaks to this in this post.
...Jack in his "I'm a statesman" voice just asked what the PM will do to restore confidence in the House. Gee -- I've got an idea. Why don't the Libs quit trying to buy the votes of opposition MPs?
Why don't they quit stealing taxpayers money? Why don't they tell Jack that they aren't prepared to buy the support of the NDP? Why don't they admit that they've been caught on tape breaching every ethical standard that decent Canadians believe in? Then they should resign.
Jack that's what they would do if they had any honour at all, which is why it won't happen.
That's the answer to your question, Jack.
I think it is actually his Prozac Jack voice myself.
