Ah, the power of the anonymous quote. Using this you can write an article saying anything you want. Evidence Gloria Galloway's column in the Globe and Mail today. From her past works it is clear that Ms. Galloway has a hate-on for Christians. I think this extends to the Conservative party in general.
..."There is a lot of discontent with the turn of things. People are saying it's time to replace the leader," said one key Conservative organizer in Toronto who, like many others, asked not to be named because it could hurt his status in the party.
Coward. Don't hide behind the media. Come and say it you wimp. And excuse me, but what is a "key Conservative organizer in Toronto" anyway. You seem to be doing a bang-up job there.
...Dissatisfaction with Mr. Harper's leadership "started expanding with the Belinda [Stronach] defection and then it continued to expand when we didn't get our [confidence] vote passed [on May 19] and a lot of people in the party are tired of waiting," said one organizer, who also asked to remain anonymous.
And we have another coward. And a mental giant as well. Stephen Harper is responsible for making sure that someone doesn't take a bribe? And as for "expanding when we didn't get our vote passed", this issue is one and the same. The reason that the vote didn't pass is Stronach - it didn't expand anything.
..."I supported the merger [that created the Conservative Party], but at this point it's beginning to look like it's been a horrible waste of time," said Ed Adlers, a former Toronto riding association president. "It's rapidly starting to go downhill and the people that are in control right now don't appear to be very interested or concerned about pulling it up."
At least Ed Adlers is willing to put his name to this but Ms. Galloway, there is a whole world outside of the 416 area code. You know, places where they actually elect Conservatives. Places where riding associations actually have strong memberships. Places
where they preferred Stephen Harper to Belinda Stronach in the first place. Maybe you should check what they think.
...Still, Conservatives in every region say there are attempts to mobilize against Mr. Harper.
Really? Where is your proof?
...But "there's no way he's going to go easily," said one in Toronto. "Nobody wants to be the first person to bell the cat."
Ah, another anonymous quote from Toronto.
Update: "Unnamed sources. C.J., unnamed sources make me crazy. Just one time, I'd like to see... instead of "according to unnamed sources" I'd like to see according to tweaky little ill-informed chicken-ass wannabe... Don't ever come to me again with unnamed sources,"
