So much for that

I came in with this great (to me anyway) post this morning about what the Conservative strategy may be regarding bringing down the government. Then I pick up the paper and see that is too late for that now. With the formalizing of the Liberal/NDP/Bloc alliance we officially have a socialist government. The Liberals have shown, yet again, that they will do anything to remain in power. In this case you can't blame them but, but it shows that are not above creating an alliance with the separatist Bloc to pass the NDP Boondoggle Billions Budget.

Well, there is always the fall.

Update: Robert Fife of CTV and Jane Tabe of the Globe and Mail had this to say.

..."It bushwhacked the Conservatives. They didn't see this coming," said CTV's Ottawa bureau chief Robert Fife.
Watching developments in the capital, Globe and Mail columnist Jane Taber says the Conservatives committed a critical strategic error.
"In their heart of hearts, I don't think they wanted this election," Taber told Canada AM early Friday morning.
The Conservatives were betrayed, Taber suggested, by the decision to essentially dismiss the caucus with a call to be back in Ottawa Monday.
"If you're the master strategists, you're not going to telegraph moves like this to give the Liberals a chance to counteract."
