Prayers for Londoners

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
It is really hard to come up with something to say to the terrorism in London this morning. I pray that there are no more deaths (murders) than the two already reported. Unfortunately it looks to be much more than the original two murders reported. It is now at least 45 and the count is expected to rise. PM Blair is right, Barbaric.

From the same link above you can find the Press Conference from British PM Blair. He seems reasonably sure that this attack was intended to coincide with the beginning of the G8 summit and he drops strong hints that it was al Qaeda (although he never uses this term).

The CTV reports,

...Arab sources said the blasts were likely the work of al Qaeda, the British Broadcasting Corp. reported.
Reports from a German magazine said a group calling itself "Secret Organization -- al Qaeda in Europe" is claiming responsibility in an unverified online statement.

And NealeNews links to this story from Sky News which provides more details.

You can find the Statements from PM Blair and President Bush here.
Yes Mr. President, the difference is striking and the ideology of hope and the desire for liberty will not be defeated.

Update: Our Prime Minsters statement can be found here.

...Our collective freedom has come under attack today by those who would use violence and murder to force extremism upon the world. We must and we will stand against these terrorists. We will do so together. And we will prevail.

And Oppostion Leader Harper's statement here.

...We are reminded that we must be ever vigilant to guard against acts of terrorism and to remain steadfast in our resolve to bring to justice all those who commit these treacherous and cowardly crimes.
