The media rounds for Harper biographer William Johson continue; this time he is interviewed by The Hill Times. Mr Williams thinks the media is ignorant on the big issues and instead focus on superficial things such as how good is someone at shaking hands and kissing babies.
In a couple of interviews know he has floated the thought that Canadians are on the verge of a major change. He opines that when Kim Campbell was nominated as leader of the Progressive Conservatives the polls showed that she would win another majority government. In the campaign something happened and Canadians woke up to the fact that they did not want another 4-5 years like the previous 8. He thinks that Canadians, post Gomery report, will wake up to the same fact about the Liberals and elect the Stephen Harper lead Conservatives. The thing about predictions is that we will just have to wait and see.
