Where do our tax dollars go?

Reading Paul Wells' post this morning got me thinking that with so many spending promises broken and so many poorly delivered services coupled with very high tax rates where the heck does all the money go? Mr. Wells was kind enough to send me this link which provides an introduction to the subject.

That $35.8 Billion paid to service the debt (or 19%) sure could come in handy. But as a 32 year old this is just the tip of the iceberg of things my generation will have to pay for as a result of the craziness of my parents generation. While I am on the topic it is a great thing that our birthrates are keeping up with the $27 Billion (or 14%) spent on Old Age Security, Guaranteed Income Supplement and the Spouses Allowance. I could go on, but it just depresses me.
