A New Strategy

In the post-Bill C-38 world it seems like the rules have changed. The Conservatives are no longer talking about SSM and are racing the Liberals to see who can flex the security muscle more. I am wondering if there is more going on here than meets the eye because both the Conservatives and Liberals have really made this a central issue. Maybe London made it central but I wonder.

Stephen Harper talked tough on security and not at all on same-sex marriage yesterday as the Conservative leader's 10-day tour of Ontario drew to a close.
Harper said the deadly bombings in Egypt should serve as a warning to Canada.
"Any country that opposes the views of some of these organizations is going to be named by them," he said while touring the city's lakefront. "Our country has been named by them as a potential target and we have to take that seriously."
