Well it took a week but someone in the MSM finally made the point about the latest Strategic Council Poll I did here. In short, if MP Harper is in trouble in the polls and he needs to be dumped, what does it say of the PM when he is in the same position? And what is more important, that Canadians want a new Leader of the Opposition or a new Prime Minister? Answering that question correctly requires you having your priorities straight. A serious problem when it comes to CTV and the Globe and Mail (do I really need to mention the CBC and the Toronto Star)?
Anyways, here is Sun Media, a day late and a dollar short.
...You all remember Martin -- the guy the same liberal punditocracy was telling us just a few years ago was the human dynamo who would rescue the Liberals from the scandals of the Jean Chretien era?
So how's he doing? Well, according to the same Strategic Counsel poll this month that the liberal punditocracy seized upon to pound Harper into the ground, most Canadians, uh, want Martin dumped.
Yes, you read that right. A majority of Canadians surveyed -- 52% -- having seen Martin in action as prime minister for the past 20 months, would just as soon see him gone, thank you very much.
...two years ago, poor Paul was the political Canadian Idol who was going to save the Liberal party from itself and now they're talking about replacing him with some guy from Harvard or BOB FREAKING RAE!!!???
Deep down inside I bet the Toronto Sun would love to do a repeat of their "What a Boob" headline.
