Setting up the fall

For those of you who think there will not be a fall election I present the following from the CBC.

...Less than two weeks after its last bit of budget legislation made it through the Senate, Paul Martin's Liberal government is reportedly working on yet another budget that could come down this fall.
The Toronto Star reported Tuesday that a small group led by Finance Minister Ralph Goodale is spending the summer putting together a package of measures designed to appeal to voters in an election expected next winter.
The mini-budget would likely be unveiled in October, the newspaper said.

Don't be surprised if there is plenty in the Budget that the Opposition Parties can't live with. Expect tax cuts for the middle-class to carve off Conservative support. Expect tax cuts for corporations to ditch the NDP support. The Liberals would much rather campaign on a Budget than on the Gomery Report. It could make for another interesting session.
