In 50 years

I love the "in 50 years" argument. In the toolkit of rhetoric there is nothing better. How can argue with someone's fantasy land? So beautiful, so elegant, so guaranteed to stop a perfectly good conversation in its tracks. Ah, in 50 years...

I am going to go even further on the curve. The 22nd century will be the century of Brazil. You can bank on it. Well after China has crushed the U.S. and India has defeated China your great-grandchildren are going to have to learn Portuguese to compete. What? You don't believe me? Well the Soviet Union defeated the U.S., didn't they? Oh yeah, and Japan crushed the U.S., right?

Anyways, more can be found on this here (hat-tip to Instapundit). And I just love this cartoon.
