I am not sure what the numbers are like for conservative vs. progressive bloggers in Canada but somehow I don't think the impact described in the article is as pronounced in Canada.
..."An edge among small, local political blogs also means an edge in small, local, political races. While progressives may have a marked advantage in overall blogosphere discourse, it could also be argued that conservatives are taking a decisive lead in the sort of targeted blogging that will provide them with real, tangible benefits ...," the report says
I would like to think that blogs make a difference but I assume that blogs in Canada have a much lower impact that their American counterparts. That may change but the top Canadian blogs get no where near the traffic of their US equivalents, even discounting for population. I expect traffic to increase during the next election cycle but to what degree is anybodies guess.
