...Ms. Parrish said events over the summer made her change her mind about automatically supporting her former colleagues on every confidence vote. "But this latest round with Hillier and the gang and the aggression in Afghanistan and doing it all in the summer when there's absolutely no consultation with the public, to me is not a Liberal thing to do. And I'm becoming more concerned about the Liberal values of this Prime Minister and the people around him. So I will be taking each vote one at a time. And if there is a confidence motion that is one that I don't believe is based on Liberal principles, I'm going to be judging each vote one at a time," she said.
Well then what is the Liberal thing to do? (hat-tip NealeNews) Was it the Liberal thing to do to route out the Taliban in Afghanistan and try to bring the Afghan people a liberal democracy? Is it the Liberal thing to do to protect this burgeoning democracy from the Taliban terrorists by hunting them down? Or should we just not have bothered with any of it? They didn't hit us after all. And why should a liberal want to free people? Is that what you are saying MP Parrish?
