I think Warren Kinsella sums things up perfectly.
...Their view is summed up best by the front page of the Daily News this morning: SHAME OF A NATION. The News says: "It is absolutely outrageous that the United States of America could not bring comfort to tens of thousands of forlorn, frightened, sick and hungry souls...who is at fault for what is nothing less than a national scandal?"
Well said. It's a question upon which political careers will rise and fall, in the weeks and months ahead.
Time to head home, where I am not at all convinced we would do much better
I am not convinced that any country could have done much better. I think that the people are are trying to lay this solely at the feet of President Bush have truly jumped the shark. Do you really think that a Canadian government could have done any better? Give your head a shake poeple. As I said earlier, there is plenty of blame here to go around.
