I typically don't comment on such minitae of American Politics but with the passing of Chief Justice William Rehnquist things have gotten a lot more interesting on the U.S. Supreme Court. I wonder if this means that the push from the left to deny John Roberts will be stepped up a notch. And does President try to do a two-fer or does he wait for a vote on John Roberts before he announces the next candidate?
Update: I knew things were going to get more interesting but with the announcement that John Roberts will be nominated directly to the role of Chief Justice it is even more interesting than I figured.
