Re-writing the past

From the future is set and only the past changes file comes the new book about Brian Mulroney. This is pretty fun for me because I am too young to have a set opinion on the former Prime Minister.

I have two main memories of his Prime Ministership. My first is from Mrs. Farmer's history class from Grade 7 (aside: looking back she was such a great teacher). The day after the Progressive Conservatives one their first majority under PM Mulroney Mrs. Farmer changed the lesson to explain how significant a result this was in that it was the first PC majority since PM Diefenbaker.

The second was arguing with my high school classmates about how important Free Trade was to our future. Guess what side of the argument I was on. What really frustrated me about that was that I was too young by months to vote in such an important election.

With this in mind I enjoyed Right Ho's post on the book. And welcome back.
