Further to Victor Marciano's comment regarding the fact that the NDP has no money for another election, I found this article in the Sudbury Star tonight. I can't find a link to it but the article was written by James Wallace of the Osprey News Network.
...In the first half of the year, the Bloc Quebecois was paid $1.5 million in taxpayer money; the NDP $1.9 million; the Green Party $528,533; the Conservatives $3.6 million and the Liberals $4.5 million.
According to independent estimates, public funds now account for more than three quarters of federal political donations and the new formula has doubled contributions political parties would normally recieve from corporations and unions.
Now the NDP may have some debt left-over from the last election but it is not like the have no money. That being said, I still think it is a long-shot for the Conservatives to involve the NDP in bringing down the government in the fall.
