One of the things I yearn for most of the blogosphere and one of the main reasons I do this whole thing is to listen, read and engage in examination of ideas. I fear there is not enough of it in political discourse and my belief is that if we could engage in such an examination it will only result in making our political institutions better and our great country even better.
It appears I was delusional when I thought a debate between Christopher Hitchens and George Galloway on the War in Iraq could provide such an examination. Like most political debtate these days it quickly turned into a battle of the ad hominem. All heat and no light you might say.
