Mike Duffy (click on the link by his shiny-happy pciture) is reporting that the there will be an Opposition Day in Parliament. I am not sure which party will get it but my assumption will be that it would be the Conservatives. The speculation is that this will be the only one until mid-to-late November and the only opportunity to bring down the government before Christmas.
I will post more on this if more details warrant but it will make for an interesting week of strategy if it is indeed the case.
I have suggested that a fall election is good strategy for the Conservatives on two assumptions. 1) Gomery will not delay the first report if an election is called, 2) they can get the NDP on board to bring down the government. Obviously the first point is more important than the second.
