The Ottawa Sun doubts the Liberals are even capable of changing their entitlement ways.
...Last week, through the Sun's Kathleen Harris, we learned David Dingwall isn't the only one in Liberal la-la land eligible for a golden handshake, despite the fact he quit his job at the mint under a cloud of controversy.
In fact, handing out severance packages to people who quit is common practice in the federal government, routinely done for the staffers of Liberal cabinet ministers.
...But there's more. Last week, The Canadian Press (and our Greg Weston) reported the department of Indian and Northern Affairs recently signed a $132,000 contract with a consultant stipulating the firm must not leave a paper trail.
This is precisely the sort of practice criticized by Auditor General Sheila Fraser in her February 2004 report on the sponsorship scandal.
...Finally, we learned last week from the Liberal-friendly Toronto Star, who we presume would know, that former prime minister Jean Chretien is reportedly "undaunted and unrepentant" about the sponsorship scandal.
I guess the new Liberal slogan can be "I'm annoyed as hell, and I'm not going to do as much of it anymore!"
