released a poll which shows an even bigger drop.
Conservatives: 31%
Liberals: 28%
New Democrats: 20%
Bloc Quebecois: 13%
Greens: 7%
I will see if I can find a more regional breakdown but for now let me say one thing. The consensus is that the Conservatives need to stop with the corruption and bring the hope. While I agree somewhat with that one thing needs to pointed out. Everytime Liberal corruption becomes top of mind their fortunes plummit. It appears that Canadians want to pass judgment. So the Conservatives should continue to bring up corruption but they need to present their alternative so the voters have something to replace the Liberals with. If they take a balance approach of corruption and alternative they can win.
Update: The Globe and Mail has more on the poll.
Ontario
Liberals: 37%
Conservatives: 35%
NDP: 20%
Quebec
Bloc Quebecois: 57%
Liberals: 22%
To get more regional information I will have to work backwards since only other piece of information is polling in "English Canada":
Conservatives: 38%
Liberals: 30%
NDP: 23%
The article goes on to state that the NDP are in the lead and are moving up in Atlantic Canada. The Conservatives must be moving up in those areas as well (for the math to work - i will have to run some numbers).
Update: I ran some numbers...if they hold the NDP stands to make big gains in BC, Atlantic Canada and Ontario. Seats somewhere in the range of 40 is not out of the question. Ontario is a dead heat with the Liberals and Conservatives neck-and-neck to see who would come out with more seats. As Allan Gregg says in the Globe article, it will be very tough for the Conservatives to resist these poll numbers.
