Send in the gnomes

I almost fell off the coach when Peter MacKay responded to PM Martin's latest lame excuse for not having an election in January thusly. (Roger Smith on the looming election)

"Well, he's going to tell us next it will somehow offend gnomes as well"

Beautiful.

And so is Paul Wells' post on the subject.

...I guess that rules out an election at any time in 2006, then, because there is no five-week period that is free of religious celebrations of some sort or other.

And since these holidays are recurrent, that means we can never have an election. Ever. So sorry. Mustn't offend anyone.
