What about Russ Courtnall?

The Globe and Mail is reporting that the Conservatives are trying to get Kirk Muller to run for them. (h/t Bourque)

...The Globe and Mail reported on the weekend that Mr. Muller was one of a number of high-profile hockey players to have been approached by parties as possible candidates.

Mr. Muller, the 19-year National Hockey League veteran, said he's flattered but too busy to consider political life at this point. But he didn't close the door. "I wouldn't say it's my first priority, but I love working with people and that's what politics is about."

This is not likely (this time) since Kirk Muller just took on the role as head of the men's hockey program at Queen's University. I really doubt he would be bail now, just weeks into the season.

In the spring it looked like Russ Courtnall was going to run for the CPC. Does anybody know where this stands?
