I wonder what L. Ian MacDonald will have to say about this one.
...Quebec Liberal Premier Jean Charest says he won't campaign in his province for Prime Minister Paul Martin. At a rally Saturday for the Liberal candidate in a coming provincial by-election in the Montreal riding of Outremount, Charest said that he had "no intention of taking part in the federal election."
The Liberals have been hanging Premier Charest out to dry in assuming that it is a done deal that he will lose the next Provincial election. Word is he is none to pleased. I seem to remember that Stephen Harper and Jean Charest have consulted on Provincial/Federal issues in the past - any chance a former PC can be brought back into the fold?
