To set the scene they were talking about the question asked of Stephen Harper; if your wife was sick and she had to go outside of the public system to get help would you do it. His answer is that every red-blooded Canadian would do whatever it took to help their loved ones.
Well everyone but Jack Layton and Olivia Chow. Apparently they has this discussion and they decided that, for the good of the countries health care system, they would not seek out faster help. In short they would be martyrs (my word not Jack Layton's).
