The NDP and CPC's worst nightmare

Could it be deja vu all over again. Pitifully run early Liberal campaign, early peaking in the polls for the Conservatives, inevitable fear mongering and foolish NDP sheeple running back into the arms of the Liberals?

...A new opinion survey suggests voters like the federal NDP but would still jump to the Liberals in the coming election if they saw a Conservative surge.
The poll by Decima Research suggests that while half of those surveyed would like to see more New Democrats in the House of Commons, only about one-third would favour that if it might ultimately mean a Tory victory on Jan. 23.
That kind of strategic voting has long plagued the NDP, a party that many Canadians say they like but don't necessarily support federally for fear of splitting the ballot and allowing a Conservative win.

Update: Bob Tarantino wonders if there is just a little bit more to this story. Could he be confirming what I mentioned here. As I said before time will tell. But to be fair (as he is about to be unfair) Canadian Press leans the Liberal way.
