I received this email last night - it appears, that with many things regarding the Liberal, it all depends on who you ask.
Open letter to the PM:
Today, Paul Martin said, "Mr. Harper believes, in fact, in a fend-for-yourself society, I do not." Really? http://www.cbc.ca/story/canadavotes2006/national/2006/01/03/elxn-martin-tues.html
Why is it then Mr. Martin, that British Columbians are forced by your Liberals to fend-for-themselves and take your government to court? http://www.canadiansforproperlybuilthomes.com/html/letters/condoclassaction.html
Other areas of Canada got immediate and significant relief for floods, the ice storms, the crumbling pyrite foundations, etc.; leaky condo owners in British Columbia didn’t. Why isn’t every Canadian equal in your definition of the Canadian family?
With costs now exceeding more than $3 billion, all owners get in response is insulting bureaucratic form letters with no answers or solutions. This is Western Alienation at its discriminatory worst. How dare you try to claim a monopoly on defending Canadian values.
As a result of Liberal dithering and continuing inaction, past and present, the human toll has well surpassed 250,000 British Columbians.
Western cabinet appointments, and a cabinet meeting in BC, do not alleviate Western Alienation. Many key concerns of the West continue, and many have since only worsened. Mr. Martin, leaky condos is a very serious example of your words being meaningless and your promises being hollow.
We've heard and seen the Liberal way, of saying one thing and doing another (doublespeak), for long enough. I suspect most leaky condo owners, their families and friends, will not forget that British Columbia didn’t receive Liberal support when we needed it; we had to fend-for-ourselves because of you. But you don't believe in fend-for-yourself society; really?
In response I say, on January 23rd support anyone but a Liberal, please.
