The lead is official

well until tomorrow anyway.

The latest from Strategic Counsel. (via CTV)

Conservatives: 33%
Liberals: 31%
New Democrats: 17%
Bloc Quebecois: 13%
Greens: 6%

And in Quebec,

Bloc Quebecois: 53%
Liberals: 23%
Conservatives: 15%
New Democrats: 6%
Greens: 3%

The gap is closing in Ontario as well (41-36%). Which begs the questions - why only 33%. The Conservatives got 29.6% in the last election with 31% in Ontario and 9% in Quebec. So why have the gone up only 3% (and change) with solid gains in over half the country? I will have to take a closer look at that one.
