The Conservatives have cracked the 40% mark for the first time in an SES Research poll. The gap remains at 9-points though as NDP fortunes seem to be seeing a squeeze in the two-horse race.
Conservatives: 40%
Liberals: 31%
New Democrats: 14%
Bloc Quebecois: 10%
Greens: 6%
Even more interesting (shocking) are the Quebec numbers.
Bloc Quebecois: 45%
Conservatives: 28%
Liberals: 19%
New Democrats: 5%
Greens: 4%
The Daily Leadership Index is virtually tied (Conservatives: 72 and Liberals: 70) and the gap is up to 5-points (31%-26%) in the favour of Stephen Harper for Best Prime Minister.
