No worrying signs on the horizon

Here is the daily SES Research fix. The gap has moved from 9 to 8-points but other than that all the numbers are solid.

Conservatives: 38%
Liberals: 30%
New Democrats: 17%
Bloc Quebecois: 10%
Greens: 6%

Here is the commentary from Nik Nanos:

“CPAC-SES tracking has the Conservatives at 38% followed by the Liberals at 30%, the NDP at 17%, the BQ at 10% and the Green Party at 6% nationally. NDP support in Ontario, a key battleground, is rising. Harper has widened his advantage over Paul Martin on the best Prime Minister front to eight points. Among Quebecers, Harper's best PM numbers have hit 31%. In the closing week of the campaign the key items to monitor will be the NDP in Ontario and the Conservatives in Quebec.”

All that and Stephen Harper has a solid lead on the Daily Leadership Index.
