And then there were three

The latest edition of Meet the Suppressed: The Bloggers Hotstove is up. (please save to your hard drive in order to save bandwidth on James Bow's site).

Unfortunately James was not able to join us due to his commitment to uphold the Canadian Elections Act as an electoral officer. He does make the panel proud.

You might want to check this one out. It veers off in, let me say, unexpected directions. I am the closest thing to a social conservative on the panel so I was left holding the ball in our discussion of abortion (why the heck did we go there?). For the record I think our non-law on abortion is as extreme a position as there could be. To me this issue is all about where to draw the line of acceptability. I am a poor representative for the "socons" as I am pragmatic enough to know that the line will be drawn somewhere between conception and birth - not at conception. At this point I can be satisfied with that line being drawn a little earlier than say, I don't know, birth. It is crazy to me that fully viable babies have no protection under law. I am kinda funky that way. It is a fundamental human rights thing, dontcha know.

I should also say that I don't expect a Conservative government to do anything about this situation.

Anyways, give it a listen.
