For the record...

I just finished watching Steve Staples (it has an 's' at the end Craig Oliver) of the Polaris Institute on CTV's Question Period. As far as I know he is not related to me...(can't find a link yet)

He does not think that Canada should be engaged in an anti-Terror mission. Considering the Taliban killed Canadians on 9/11 it seems strange that one would not want to engage in a mission to defeat them. Well, strange to me anyway.

Greg,

I had the unluckly task of hosting a talk at Dalhousie where Mr. Staples spoke about the evils of the Canadian military and our roles abroad.

Why anyone would listen to this man is beyond me. When I asked him what he thought our military should be engaging in, he had no answer. He is all talk with absolutely no substance and its a disgrace that he is put on television to talk about our roles abroad.

Also, does anyone else think he looks like a bobble-head doll? He always has the nastiest look on his face and squinty eyes like he’s angry.

Surecure:

I have always found that those who are quick to criticize are slow (if ever) to improve. People like to stand at a podium and talk about how bad something is… but if you ever get around to asking them exactly what would be a better solution?

lrC:

Staples’s agenda seems to be to have DND funding reallocated to other forms of federal spending. If you want to cash in some chips, you don’t waste time discussing alternatives regarding how exactly they should be placed on the roulette wheel.
