I am not sure how realistic this is but it sure makes you go hmmm.
...Manning could be the next premier if he wants it. The more interesting question is will he take over the Tories from within -- or crush them with a new party like he crushed their federal cousins 13 years ago?

He’ll be premier if he wants it. Also, he would be Harper’s worst nighmare. These guys hate each other.

Can you back that up? I know they have there disagreements but I have read that PM Harper consults Preston Manning regularly.
