So it appears that the RCMP had a pretty good reason to upgrade to SUVs to protect the Prime Minister. I bet people who tried to beat up the Prime Minister over that feel like idiots now.

I don’t know about that. CTV news just had a story where they pointed out that PM Stephen Harper’s office was more vulnerable to terrorist attacks than the other Parliamentary buildings and then they panned onto a frontview of the building where his office is located. Could it be that CTV is sending a message to terrorists: “Over here guys! The Prime Minister is over here. Come and get him!”

Okay, that’s just stupid. Do you really think the choice of vehicles in the PM’s security motorcade play a role in security? If so, then how do you account for all the US presidents who got by without them?
