why this has suddenly changed.
Ontario
Progressive Conservatives: 40%
Liberals: 37%
I have been under the assumption for over a year now that if the PCs weren't ahead of the Liberals now, after all the broken promises and weak governance, they would never be. Apparently I was wrong. I can't think of what changed. Premier McGuinty has been pathetic in dealing with the unlawfulness in Caledonia but it doesn't seem to be a top of mind story from what I hear. And I live in Cambridge, part of the six miles on either side of the Grand River.

Greg, this is a mystery to me too. I also live within the six miles.
Clearly we have our work cut out for us before the next provincial election.

I doubt we are. This is all within the margin of error. This election will be decided at campaign time.

Good luck…..Ontarians who are not willing to give the boot to an incompetent government seem to be the majority…John Tory has failed to deliver a clear message and that is the sad fact..be prepared to hand over your current economy and your future hopes for prosperity to that same bunch of fools who’ve been squandering the contents of the piggy bank for the last few years…..

By the way the answer to the implied question… 1- Every major community in your area is a college/university town where the receptive young ones are encouraged into the phoney logic of the left by the predominantly Libcomsimp faculties and hard core socialist organizations. These pricks just love the gullible kids and make every effort to induct them. 2 - The Manufacturing economy. Mopst of your workplaces have a union environment and the pricks in the Union Movement have created a “them vs. Us” mindset that makes anything or anyone not in lock step with the Liberal/NDP mindset “The BogeyMan” you know scary, evil, out to get you. Meanwhile of course these are the peoplae who are actually robbing you blind and destroying your future. 3 - Immigrants. From cultures where the powers that be are the ones in power and you better think twice before you go against them. Also inculcated with fear and loathing of the “Rich” and ZERO understanding of democracy and free enterpris. Basically looking for No reason to change anything.
