where my World Cup pool could fall apart. Not only did I pick the USA to get out of their pool (and Italy not move on) I picked the USA to lose against Mexico in the 3rd place game (I never said I knew what I was talking about wrt to soccer). I need a major upset today for this to come to pass.
For the record, I picked Brazil to beat Argentina in the final.
Update: With Ghana upsetting (?) the Czech Republic and the Americans holding the Italians to a draw I am not out of it yet. But with the Ghana dominated the Czech Republic the Americans will have their hands full.

Argentina look the favorites to win at the moment, but sometimes it’s a team that struggles early on who prevails.
One press report said the Italian players understestimated the Americans before their match. They will be eliminated if they lose their final game against the Czech Republic and Ghana beat the USA as expected. And the Italians will only have themselves to blame.
Spain were impressive in their openener against Ukraine.
A Brazil-Argentina final is a good bet though.
