The Kitchener Liberal debate

So 9 of the 11 Liberal leadership contenders came to Kitchener this evening so I decided to drop by and get a look for myself. The two I really wanted to see, Michael Ignatieff and Stephane Dion were unfortunately not there but I will say I was impressed enough with one of them that I went up and shook their hand afterward. I feel like teasing you so I will let you guess who it was. (though It is not like I am switching sides or anything)

I will give a more formal review later.

Joe Volpe! (just kidding)

Roy Elsworth:

probably scott Brison cause he supported the war in afghanistan.

Bevilacqua always impressed me when he chaired the Finance Committee. Is he the one?

I wanted to get a picture of me with Joe Volpe - that would have been sweet but no on him.

Brison - nope. Bevilacqua - what a complete waste of time this guy was, he was completely going through the motions and could easily drop out before Volpe does.

Keep guessing.

The Fog is Clearing:

Not Robert Rae surely ?

No my guess is Ken Dryden.

Mr. Rae has already been weighed, measured and found wanting. Not him.

Mr. Dryden clearly won the night but not him either.

That leaves only four candidates.

BBS:

Bevilacqua

Oops - guess I should read the other comments first. You used their instead of he or she. I’ll go with Martha Hall-Findlay.

That would be my pick. I’ve liked her from the beginning.

And we have a winner!

Martha Hall-Findlay it is.
