Speaking of John Lennon (sort of, see below) comes news of this new documentary THE US VS. JOHN LENNON

You could describe John Lennon in many ways (and as a Beatle I would say huge fan) but silent is not a word that comes to mind. I mean for someone who the "U.S. Government tried to silence" the guy sure had a lot to say and a heck of a platform to say it from. But I am too young to remember much first hand about him.
Well those who know me know I am a fan of documentaries so this will be be worth watching when it comes out on September 15th, 2006

“Tried to silence?”
What a load of pompous nonsense. The height of arrogance is to presume you’re so important that you’re a threat to an entire nation. That’s something that’s typical of a lot of left-wing egotistical types.

Decent tunesmith and fatuous blowhard.
What else would you like to know?

Obviously, you folks are too young to remember Richard Nixon’s White House.

I was born in 1960 so remember John Lennon being outspoken (particularly the “love-in” in Montreal) but not too many details. I do know that the first time I realized I was “old” (or at least an adult) was when I heard he was dead.
